Shabbat Nachamu

We celebrated Theodor Herzl Schools’ 64th Birthday today during a very special Primary School assembly.  We listened to messages from Old-Theodorians, we heard our Marimba Band play, laughed with some High School kids who reminisced about their best moments in Primary School, enjoyed Birthday cake and best of all, we created a language chain, were we said Happy Birthday in 15 different languages!

Prefect Election

Words of Wisdom from Mr Nelson Mandela: “A real leader uses every issue, no matter how serious and sensitive, to ensure that at the end of the debate we should emerge stronger and more united than ever before.”  It is that time of the year, when we vote for the new leaders of our school.  We look forward to the Prefect Induction on the 10th of August.

A day to remember at Theodor Herzl Schools in Gqeberha! We had the privilege of hosting the remarkable 67 Blankets initiative, accompanied by the inspirational Dame Carolyn Steyn and her team, alongside the incredible Gift of the Givers team. The event was filled with enchanting live music, a mesmerizing talent show, and the most exquisite blankets, creating an atmosphere of pure joy for everyone present.

Grade 2 Outing

Our Grade 2s had the best time visiting the penguins at SANCCOB.

Book Reading

Our Pre-Primary Theodorables were lucky enough to enjoy an engaging Book reading in the garden by Refiloe Moahloli. Refiloe Moahloli is the best-selling and award-winning author of “How many ways can you say hello?” and “How many ways can you say goodbye?” (published by Penguin Random House South Africa) to mention only a few. Some of her awards include a South African Literary Award and IBBY SA Picture Book Award. Refiloe is passionate about writing stories that bring out the best in the human spirit – stories where children can identify and celebrate themselves. Refiloe read one of her latest books: “You are Loved”, which reminded us that we are worthy of love.
